Meeting Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, and Manish Malhotra on the sets of ‘My Name is Khan’

Shah Rukh Khan
I met Shah Rukh Khan during the shooting of ‘My Name is Khan’. He is much more handsome than he looks on screen. I waved three times at him from behind the barricades and he waved back…Ohhhh! My husband crossed the man with the bag (who was Shah Rukh himself) a couple of times! There is a huge difference in screen and real life appearance.
When I finally got to meet him he looked like a ‘diva’ and sent ‘touch me not’ vibes. The experience was surreal. I wished him ‘Good Luck!’. He politely said ‘Thank you’. I admire his sense of perfection.
I also met Karan Johar. He is very handsome and shot the scene over and over again until completely satisfied. I doubt how many seconds the actual scene will last but have to say that film-making is a painfully slow and challenging process. Hours are spent to get the right frame, the right expression, and the right shot! The film-maker and his crew must have an amazing sense of patience and perfection.
I met Manish Malhotra. He is the dress designer of the movie. A very down to earth and humble guy. It was truly a pleasure to meet him. When I asked how he liked it in SF, he politely replied,”I have been here a few times. It is good to be hear again.” On being asked if Shah Rukh was also there, he casually replied ‘Yeah Yeah he is here as well.’ With the stunning clothes that he designs for celebs across the world I think the guy has his roots firmly in the ground.
I did not meet Kajol in person. She is a beautiful actress and was looking amazing! Her burly bodyguard smiled at us as she quickly left the location to get dressed for the shoot. Her scene was very brief (only entering a cab) but got a ‘CUT’ after re filming for almost 30-40 times! Pheww.
You must think how I met all these stars? It was the dedicated teamwork of a lot of individuals. I will compile a full story and post again. Till then enjoy these pictures!

Well there's Shah Rukh Khan.
We did get bags under our eyes. We were tired, hungry, tanned, and fatigued. All this to meet the one and only Shah Rukh Khan! It was a great experience. All the relentless waiting for several hours finally paid off. It was a happy ending as many Bollywood movies portray. Good Luck Dharma Productions.

YESSSS!!! I soo agree. SRK rocks & it was an awesome experience. Kajol is stunningly beautiful. My second favorite part was when Manish Malhotra recognized us the next day and smiles & waved. AND of course my FIRST was when Shahrukh responded to my wave with a flying kiss and asked us to wait for a snap with him. I am going crazy!

First I want to thank you for sharing the photos and your amazing experience! Here in France we’re drooling about the opportunities you’ve had so far of watching such a tremendous shooting and more particularly of getting any close to SRK, our idol!!!
We are eagerly looking forward to a sequel…
But there’s something else I meant to tell you: it is amazing how much you look like Kajol and particularly on the photo with Karan Johar! And other French fans also admitted they had to read the caption many times to make sure it was you and not Kajol ! I really wanted you to know that !

Also, you should tag your pictures before someone steals them ans credits themselves. Thats what happened with me. I took pictures last Friday when they were at Powell and posted them on a forum untagged. They ended up on IndiaToday’s exclusive video.
