What I want in Web2.0

February 14th, 2006 | by Digvijay Lamba |

Admittedly, this post of mine started after I read Abhishek Goyal’s this post. I have now setup wordpress on my webserver and am on my way to automating several things. Here is a list of what I want:

1. Auto Tagging of Bookmarks:
I use delicious for bookmarking. So I keep adding bookmarks and tagging them. Now what I want is a service that can take these bookmarks, cluster the ones that are similar and allow me to tag the clusters with a single name. It eases organization and allows me to re-organize my bookmarks easily once in a while. Further, this could also be used to automatically give good tags to the bookmarks that I missed initially.

This site can do this… except it doesn’t allow you to give a tag to each cluster it finds. Hopefully, there final version will allow that.

2. Consolidation of reviews on to my blog:
There are several sites I regularly post to. Let’s take reviews for Movies, Books etc as an example. I often leave reviews at IMDB, Yahoo Local and Amazon amongst others. Right now, I post the better one’s here on my blog by copy pasting them. What I want is a one shot posting of reviews to multiple sites. :)

3. Consolidation of my comments:
I often leave comments in several blogs. I want to be able to track them, see what replies I get to my comments. Also I want that all my comments (or the ones I select) and the replies to them are posted on my blog as messages. :)

So if any of you have any idea how to do any of this… do let me know!!!

hey lamba, got here from gulli’s blog.
about your wishlist, try cocomment for #3. #2 is tricky as it invloves the hosting site who own the review you posted.

I think cocomment is designed specifically for your need #3. Not sure if it can do #2. All your comments and their followup come as rss feed. May be there would be some tool to post using rss feed :) .

    Hi Guys,
I tried out CoComments and it’s really awesome.
I know number 2 is almost a fantasy but what the hell I am sure someone somewhere is writing an integration tool right now.
